Using different thresholds to emphasize change between pedestrian space and cars/public transport is less confusing. A safer path can be used without having to worry about the other users. Arrival of trams could be extra indicated through the use of lighting along the rails.

Places for multiple users are very confusing for people with auditory impairments. It is difficult to find a save path. They have to be constantly aware of the other users. They cannot hear the audio signals from bikes, cars and trams.
